CFO ASSIST

Michelle Dowsett:

As Principal of CFO ASSIST, Michelle has worked in several SME's in Business Manager, Company Secretary and Chief Accounting Officer (CFO) roles.

Michelle's financial management, strategy application and governance experience is exemplified in being a Certified Practicing Accountant (CPA), having achieved a Master of Business Administration (MBA) and also through being a Certified Member of the Governance Institute of Australia (Cert GIA).

Michelle's Project Management skills have been acquired within the property development, valuation and consulting field. Michelle's membership as a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors (GAICD) is well utilised in her current Governance roles as follows:

• Board Director, Deputy Chair and Audit & Risk Committee Chair of East Gippsland Water
• Board member, Treasurer and Chair of Finance & Audit Committee of Within Australia Ltd (formerly SNAP Gippsland)
• Independent Chair of the Audit & Risk Committee of the Municipal Association of Victoria
• Member of the Leading Aged Services Australia Policy Committee
• Independent member of Uniting Care Gippsland Audit & Compliance Committee
• Company Secretary of the Victorian Metropolitan Alliance Ltd

Under the CFO ASSIST umbrella Michelle currently provides finance and board operations consultancy advice to Sale Elderly Citizens Village Inc (NFP) which operate a seventy five bed residential hostel and eighty eight independent living units.

Michelle is currently studying a Diploma in Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Knowledges.
